LOS ANGELES (November 7, 2018) – This week we shined the spotlight on Findom artist MissLux as she shares her unique love of cats, kindness and more in this week’s exclusive Artist Spotlight from iWantClips.

If you could have one gigantic billboard anywhere with anything on it— what would it say and why?
Miss Lux: “My billboard would one of my favorite quotes from my all-time favorite video game, Bioshock. “A man chooses, a slave obeys.” The game is centered around a unique and poignant exploration of choice. This quote has stuck with me ever since I had my first play through of the game till today. I hold personal choice and accountability very high in my D/s and vanilla relationships.”
Something about you that would surprise your audience?
Miss Lux: “I have many different sides to myself but each side has a common denominator and that would be y desire to help others. I have many projects in the works currently to do just that! One particularly close to my heart is one that I co-founded and own with fellow Domme and best friend, Miss Crystal Anne (@agoldminegutted on Twitter.)
Our organization started as a movement to explore how one human could impact the world around them with small, random acts of kindness and has quickly blossomed into something more than the two of us dreamed of! We are in the planning stages of starting an urban hydroponic vertical farm-which, my closest slaves know very well as I have them doing a lot of the footwork for me. After all, work smarter…not harder.”
What was the last gift you gave someone?
Miss Lux: “The last gift I bought for someone was tickets to go on a local wine and dine food tour of all the popular downtown scenes.”
What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life in the last six months (or in recent memory)?
Miss Lux: “I would have to say, the most recent purchase that has impacted me the most, would be from adopting my senior blind cat from the SPCA. He had been abandoned on their doorsteps in a tiny cage and had been waiting to go home for 6 months in the shelter. Now, every night he sleeps curled up next to me. Having him as my companion through editing sessions has been really nice, and also very productive! Cat gravity keeps me glued to my seat, thus keeping me editing for longer periods of time.”
What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?
Miss Lux: “This one is easy. I love Jellyfish! I love anything to do with them and have an absurd collection of jellyfish paraphernalia ranging from dresses and other pieces of clothing to artwork, jewelry, plushies, windchimes, to a desktop jellyfish tank. My obsession might be a wee bit excessive but if there is one sure fire way to make me smile, it’s to get me something Jellyfish related.”
What’s your favorite ’90s jam?
Miss Lux: “A massive guilty pleasure for me would be “Livin La Vida Loca” by Ricky Martin and “No Diggity” by Blackstreet.”
You walk into a market and buy only three things, what are they and why?
Miss Lux: “I go to a local farmers market every chance I can get and I always grab local Kombucha on tap, fresh flowers and a jar of CBD Oil Honey. I love flowers (my favorite being Birds of Paradise and Sunflowers.) But since this is any market, I’d have to say my focus would be on artwork and jewelry to remember the occasion.”
What was the last job you held before joining iWantEmpire?
Miss Lux: “Before joining IWantEmpire, I was a model on other adult sites. I had great success on the smaller sites but had a lot of trouble with how the sites were managed, from lack of professionalism to lacking heavily in the support center. Before that, I was a full-time college student studying health science while also balancing performing and teaching hula hooping in my community through my local Diversity Center, as well as working in a managerial position at a local craft store. My submissives & slaves all know how I never stop moving and I often task them with reminding me to take a break or funding my well deserved relaxation as it’s honestly not something I do very often!”
How did you get started on iWantClips?
Miss Lux: “I got started on IWantClips from already being in the industry and actively searching for a better venue to host my clips. I wanted a fetish friendly site with an easy to navigate layout and design that also had better customer support than what I had experienced elsewhere. I was certainly not disappointed!”
What are bad recommendations you hear in your profession?
Miss Lux: “I would have to say that the worst advice I hear is the perpetuation that sex work is easy money. Sex work is often treated as a last resort in our society, our fail-out plan that if all else goes wrong…all you have to do is show someone your tits and you’re rich! I wish that was how it worked. Don’t we all! But yet-that is not how it works. Sex work is just that, work…and you’re going to get back what you put in, just like any other job.
I choose sex work, not because I have no other options but because it opens up so many other options for me. I choose sex work because it’s empowering and uplifting. I choose sex work because it challenges me as a human and as Miss Lux. It’s stimulating in both the physical and emotional ways. It’s fresh, it’s different and it is certainly never boring, but it honestly takes a lot of time, effort and attention to grow. Any sex worker, no matter what niche you’re in, you are constantly networking with other fellow sex workers and clients. As a sex worker, I care for and am responsible for other human being’s lives. I take that very seriously and it is not easy, but it is so well worth it!”
