This week the iWantClips spotlight is on London Lix as she discusses inspirations, Sapiosexualism and more in an all-new Artist Spotlight exclusively from iWantClips.

Let’s get right into it…

We are really loving the creativity of your Choose Your Own Adventure style clip series, and it’s had such a positive response so far! Would you tell us a bit about your inspiration for that series?

My inspiration for the CYOA style clips was actually the Netflix Black Mirror episode Bandersnatch. I’ve still not watched it to this day but as soon as I heard about the concept I thought how perfect that would be for jerk off instruction (yes, my mind is near permanently dirty). It can sometimes be difficult to film a ‘one size fits all’ JOI clip, so this format allowed for more flexibility for my customers depending on their personal preferences, whilst still having that London Lix flair they know they love. I like to think of the series as somewhere between a regular clip and a ‘build your own custom clip’, really. Also, the replay value on those clips is immense, because there are so many different ways you can combine them for a unique intimate experience each time. Buying all 9 clips actually results in 32 different combinations, AND there might be some twists in one or two of the clips which lead to different outcomes within those too 😉

What is your personal approach to clip creation?

My personal approach to clip creation is really fluid & natural at this point. I don’t film unless I’m in the mood to; I’ve learned that just never goes well & I refuse to put out anything less than excellent content. So every clip from me you see, you know I was in a sexy, sensual, devious & dominant mood when I filmed it. I think this has been a key factor in my longevity in this industry; I still love what I do, I’m still learning from my fans, I’m still exploring fetishes and having so much fun with it all.

I don’t plan scripts or even outlines for my clips. Oftentimes I’ll just think up a concept or sometimes just a title, turn my camera on & go from there. In a way I think this makes my clips more like “sessions”, because the verbal humiliation I’m pouring out to the camera could just as easily be my spitballing on the spot to someone’s face. My mindfuck and mental domination clips showcase the flow of my mind & how I’d fuck with someone’s emotions to turn them on in real life. I often get really aroused from my own sadism in those kind of clips, and that’s how I know my fans are gonna love it.

If you had a theme song that played every time you entered a room, what would it be?

We’re gonna have to put the whole Invasion of Privacy album by Cardi B on shuffle for this. Even though I’m not a huge fan of rap/hip-hop in general, I relate to a lot of those lyrics. What’s not to love about hard working boss bitch women killing their game creatively, being unashamedly open about their sexuality, and not taking crap from anyone who is not elevating their path in life?! But yeah…”If they can make you richer, they can make you cum” 😉

Who is your favorite actor/actress and why?

Mary Louise Parker who played Nancy Botwin in Weeds is just an all round excellent actress, plus still a stone cold fox at age 54. I hope to look that good in my 50s!

Are there any major celebrities that you have a crush on?

Actually none, and I never have been attracted to celebrities or even the ‘idea’ of celebrity as something to be attracted to. When I was in high school my peers would have Brad Pitt, Leo DiCaprio, and George Clooney pics cut out of magazines on their school folders & in their lockers and I just didn’t get it! I’ve always needed something deeper than physicality to form an attraction – I guess you could say I’m a sapiosexual. Someone being physically attractive only opens so many doors for me. Like okay; they are hot to look at, feel good to touch, but what else? What are their weaknesses, their perversions, and how can I fuck with their mind to really have some fun?

What’s the one food you couldn’t live without?

Chocolate and coffee, and I pity the fool who tries to make me choose just one.

Do you have any current obsessions?

I’m really into astrology, lately, actually! I’m a scientist through & through so this pains me to admit but it’s so much fun to explore & think about; my guilty pleasure, if you will! I think everyone needs a little vice or escapism, and this is my current one.

What is your favorite book?

Bloodtide, by Melvin Burgess. It’s a dystopian/apocalyptic novel set in London and is super dark, which I love. I’ve always been attracted to ruthless, relentless stories without happy endings. The main female protagonist is used as a pawn in a fake-truce between warring families, and even after years of being psychologically broken down & locked in isolation in a tower she is secretly (and incredibly intelligently) plotting against her husband-by-arranged-marriage, whilst playing the innocent dutiful wife. It’s pretty badass. I first read this when I was 13. It might explain a lot. Hahaha.

What is your dream vacation destination?

Gosh, this is hard because I pretty much just take myself wherever I want to go whenever I feel like it, haha! The two places left on my bucket list were Canada & the Maldives though…I’m doing Canada for my birthday this month, so I guess the Maldives is what’s left! I’m sure I’ll make it happen soon enough. I can’t wait to wake up to the sound of waves, stroll onto my ocean deck eating fresh fruit, and dip my feet right into the sparkling blue waters.

What is something about you that would surprise your audience?

I speak 3 languages in addition to English; Japanese, Danish, and Welsh. Watashi wa inshō-tekidesu. Watashi ni shiharae 😉

What was the last job you held before joining iWantEmpire?

I’ve been in this industry in one form or another since I was 18 (stripping, camming, phone sex, clips), so really…nothing but the usual waitressing before that. However, sex work has graced me with wonderful opportunities in terms of financial freedom, to study & work alongside of doing this. So, I’ve been an EMT, spent 7 years curating a pharmaceutical product during my doctorate, and currently work in a gene editing lab. That’s right; I’m a lab-coat wearing nerd by day, latex-clad dominatrix by night.

How did you get started on iWantClips?

I saw a few models I knew & respected talking about joining the site on twitter, so figured it couldn’t hurt to set up an account myself too. I didn’t focus on putting content up for months though, and then as soon as I did, I noticed all this unique traffic coming to my page. Which was wild as I’d already been in the industry 5 years so figured I was already known by & reaching a lot of customers. Evidently not. Being on iWC easily doubled my business in the first year I properly put effort into it.

What are bad recommendations you hear given to people just starting out in the industry?

This is going to be an ‘unpopular opinion’ but I hear a lot of advice telling new models to just churn out as much content as possible. While I ABSOLUTELY believe that you get out what you put in, and that you’re not going to get very far with a store comprising a few 2 minute clips, I think there’s a lot to be said for focusing on quality over quantity. Don’t devalue yourself by turning into a bargain basement with 100 $1 poor quality items. Style yourself as an upscale boutique with carefully curated products at a higher price point that are worth your time to produce & the money your customers spend 🙂

What advice would you give to a new artist starting out in the industry

Don’t be afraid of letting your audience show you what your unique selling point/niche is, as long as you’re also comfortable with it. You might think you have the most amazing ass in the world & focus on ass worship content, but your customer base might be more interested in the way you give humiliation fetish tasks. I never would have even considered making muscle domination clips until I kept receiving custom clip orders for them. When I started out I tried to fit the mold of what I thought people wanted an online domme to be; spoiled & bratty. My clips along those lines weren’t selling well, but my mental/sensual domination clips were selling by the bucketload, and I’d receive emails daily praising this sensually sadistic side of myself I had only just begun to explore in my private life. Today I like to think of this mental sadism as my true brand; Queen of Painful Pleasure.
