What’s one song that’s popular that you don’t care for?
GL: I really can’t answer any questions about music because I listen to the same 20ish songs over and over again.
If you could have starred in any movie, what would it be and why?
GL: I would’ve starred in Oceans 8. A group of badass gorgeous women stealing from the super rich? AMAZING. Plus, I mean Rihanna is in it.
If you could go to dinner with any celebrity, living or dead, who would you choose?
GL: I would probably go to dinner with Ariana Grande. I know that’s not a super interesting answer but I just think she’s so cute.
If you could only eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?
GL: If I could only eat one food? Oh that’s tough. Can I just say Nobu? I couldn’t live without that place.
Do you have any current obsessions?
GL: Honestly, I’m totally a crazy cat lady. I have cat everything…even cat shoes! I keep cat food in My car and in My garage to feed any strays I see. Definitely obsessed with cats.
What is the last book you read?
GL: The last book I read was Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. I don’t read as much as I’d like to, but def into scary stuff.
If you were to win the Power Ball tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d do with your money?
GL: If I were to win the power ball, I would give a good amount of it to My family. Then of course, the animals. My dream is to open up a vet and a shelter and do what I can to help all kinds of animals. My money totally would go there and then some investments. Turn money into more money of course.
What is something about you that would surprise your audience?
GL: I think something that would surprise My audience about Me…hmmm..I’m literally always singing. Not in a cute way either, it’s horrible. I sing songs about My cats or My boyfriend at the top of My lungs. My neighbors love Me, I just know it. Truly, it is rather horrible.
What was the last job you held before joining iWantClips?
GL: Well, I started making clips when I was 18. After college, I decided to try working in a law firm as a paralegal. I stepped back from clips, maybe posting once or twice a month and tried the 9-5. I thought this would be something that I really enjoyed. I had wanted to be a lawyer ever since I was young. Working as a paralegal before I went to law school was just for Me to make sure it would be a good fit. I am so glad I did that because I HATED it. I lasted maybe 6 months. I was working so hard for way less money in a job that I hated everything about. In August of 2017 I left My job and went back to clips. I put two clips out a day for My first few months back. This was the first time doing clips that I wasn’t in school or working. Having all this time to focus on My content I never had before was eye opening.
How did you get started on iWantClips?
GL: I got on IWC pretty much around its launch time! I was already making clips on KInkbomb and C4S, so why not try something new. Ever since then My IWC income has been My most reliable and highest income.
What are bad recommendations you hear given to people just starting out in the industry?
GL: As far as bad advice goes, I’m not sure I’ve seen much. I don’t really scroll through social media too often. I know a lot of women — not all but a lot– in this industry really do have the best of intentions and I’m sure their advice comes from a good place with the knowledge that they have.
What advice would you give to a new artist starting out in the industry?
GL: My advice would definitely be to make a schedule and stick to it. Consistency is so important. Once you have content built up and a customer base you can really pick and choose what days you want to post and what days not to. I just for the first time stepped back from posting content daily. It really is a scary step back to take but I’m so happy I did. My sales didn’t change because I post 2 clips a week less. I’m even thinking of dropping down not just 4 clips a week.
