California Dreaming with Big-Hearted Britini Starr

Welcome to this week’s Artist Spotlight, bringing the community together by delving into our Artists’ most inspiring ideas and practices, as well as a few of their favorite things. This week we are joined by petite goddess Britini Starr. Ready to get on your knees and beg for more? Let’s get into it…
What are some of your favorite things about being an artist?
BS: Some of my favorite things about being an artist is the ability to completely be myself, being able to create my own schedule and not having anyone telling me what to do. My personality in my clips as a Domme collides with my personal life, I have never liked being told what to do, how to act, how to dress, etc. I have always loved dressing up in latex and lots of lingerie. The fact that my job revolves around dressing up is so enjoyable. Another thing I love about the job backtracks to being able to create my own schedule; filming clips, editing, uploading, etc can be a lot of work, with the right amount of effort put in and being able to take days off when I feel necessary is amazing. It is definitely something you couldn’t do with a traditional job. I have always had a dominant/ alpha trait and it just means I can finally be free and be who I am and not who somebody else wants me to be.
How would you describe your style as a clip producer?
BS: With me, I have a switch in a way. There are times where I want to be more of a sensual dominatrix and other times where I am not so sensual and more of a hardcore dominatrix. I like to change it up depending on my mood that day, which makes it very easy to do. When I am having a rough day it makes me want to be more of the hardcore type, catering to the humiliation clips. Other days I want to be more sensual. I think it’s good to have that type of switch because it caters to both types of submissives, ones who want to be humiliated and others who want a sensual Domme.
What is the most memorable or noteworthy moment of being an artist?
BS: The most memorable moments of being an artist are definitely getting to know my subs. I love getting to know each and every one and doing so honestly helps out a lot with clip ideas. When you take the time to get to know them it can lead to a lot of open doors for clip varieties. I am a very friendly person in the real world and feel as if a relationship can’t progress without the knowledge of the people surrounding you. Your submissives a lot of the time can turn into genuine friendships which is an amazing thing. This will always be my most noteworthy moment of being an Artist.
What is your favorite categories (fetish, JOI, role-play, humiliation, etc) to perform & why?
BS: My favorite category by far for clips has to be Coerced Bi/ Coerced Gay. This is a category I can relate to in my personal life, being someone who is attracted to both genders. Everything I am saying is not taken to heart which gives me the ability to say whatever I want. Coerced gay/ bi is actually a huge kink of mine. From a younger age I noticed I had this constant ongoing desire to watch two males. When you have a certain fetish of your own it makes content so much easier to do, and leaves you with endless ideas.
Please describe your ideal sub and what that person can do to impress you
BS: My ideal sub is someone who is there for you, checks in on you, compliments you and most importantly respects you. From personal experience I have subs who check in on me every day asking how my day is, asking if there is anything they can do to help. When I have that opportunity to open up and feel comfortable to be entirely truthful I will admit to how I am genuinely feeling sometimes, which allows them to just be there for me and do their job as a submissive to make me feel good. This may be done by just sending long messages that are caring, or sending tributes, making mass clip purchases. This is definitely my ideal sub.
Would you consider your work as an artist to be your lifestyle, or do you enjoy a balance/separation between being an artist and your personal life?
BS: I would consider it to be a little bit of both to be honest. I don’t like to allow work life to consume me but at the same time, I am dominant in my home life. I have always been the one in charge, making the decisions, and especially in the bedroom life. I have to say I don’t have a submissive side and this has always been the case, not even from just starting out as a clip artist. Who I show myself to be in clips is genuinely who I am. People are giving you their money and paying for a product and I don’t believe it’s right to fake these things. A submissive wants a genuine domme and that being said, that is 100% me. What the customers are purchasing is me entirely.

Please describe what being in the moment as an artist feels like to you…is it a rush? exciting? expected? Anything in between?
BS: The feeling of being an artist is an amazing feeling, it’s a rush as well as exciting, there is nothing expected about it. I love getting to know all the desires, fantasies, fetishes and kinks of people around the world. It’s so amazing how endless the horizon is in femdom! I love the ability to make custom clips, especially knowing that I am able to bring someone’s fantasies to life…that right there is a rush and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
What is one popular song that you don’t care for?
BS: One popular song at the moment that I don’t care for has definitely got to be the song “Roxanne” by Arizona Zervas. Every last bit of this song honestly drives me crazy. I know a lot of people enjoy this song and there is nothing wrong with it but it definitely just isn’t my cup of tea!
Who is your favorite actor and why?
BS: My favorite actor is definitely Keanu Reeves. From a young age I never watched many movies but once I watched John Wick and I became absolutely obsessed. I love how straightforward he is and doesn’t fake who he is. He is definitely an idol of mine. He is the definition of true dedication and I look up to him for that.
If you could go to dinner with any celebrity, living or dead who would you choose?
BS: Backtracking to the previous question I would definitely choose Keanu Reeves.
What is one food you couldn’t live without and why?
BS: Instead of me choosing one particular food I am going to choose a category and that is meat substitutes. I have been vegetarian for 9 years of my life, 1 year of that being a vegan. I am huge hearted and love animals which is why I made this lifestyle for myself of not eating meat. I remember 9 years ago when there weren’t meat substitutes out on the shelves of grocery stores it made it very difficult to maintain a healthy weight and now that it was increased so much over the years it has made being a vegetarian so much easier!
What would your catchphrase be?
BS: My catchphrase would definitely be “don’t give up”. A lot of bad things happen in this world, you can’t use that as an excuse but as a reason to push yourself even harder. Life is not easy at all, and bad things happen to the best of people but you can’t give up. I have always used this to fuel the fire. I am someone who has been knocked down and torn apart and seen things that no one in their 20’s or anyone to begin with should ever have to deal with. Everyone always asks me how I am so strong and it’s because just that…I don’t give up and I use it to strengthen me each and every single day.
What is the last book you read?
BS: The last book I read was the Twilight series which was years ago when I was in middle school. I have never been into reading books, when I was younger in my tweens and teens I loved to read but as years went on and I hit my early adulthood, I have been kept too busy to even pick up a book. Reading is definitely not my cup of tea.
What is your dream home location?
BS: When I was younger I lived in California. I loved everything about it and would give the world to be able to move back one day. The thing about California I love so much is how open minded everybody is, the people aren’t judgmental of who you are. There are so many gay people living there and I absolutely love it. I used to take acting classes when I was younger and did some background work on movies/ television shows and that was definitely something I loved and looked forward to. Acting is who I am, I loved every bit of it. On days where I am stressed and need time to decompress I want to be able to just go back to the beach and watch the sun set and watch the water wash up to shore and get my feet wet.
What is something about you that would surprise your audience?
BS: Something about me that would definitely be surprising is how big hearted of a person I am. In a lot of my clips I bring out my true domme side which may make people think that I am not the friendliest of people but I am. I have one of the biggest hearts anyone could ever imagine, I love and care about people, and I put family above everything. I break my back just to be sure everyone in my life is happy and taken care of. As a domme I still ask my subs how their day is going, and will always be there for them no matter what, through the bad days and the good of course.
What is the last job you held before joining iWantEmpire?
BS: The last job I held was in sales. I loved keeping busy and interacting with customers and helping them out but it’s something that definitely isn’t going to help me out in the long run. Being a domme for subs has been a dream of mine for quite some time but I discovered iWantEmpire and decided to give it a shot and I have loved it ever since.
How did you get started on iWantClips?
BS: I actually discovered iWantClips from Artist Anika Fall. She has been there for me and guided me in everything. If It wasn’t for her I would more than likely still be in sales.
What are bad recommendations you hear given to people just starting out in the industry?
BS: A lot of times you will hear that you need all these expensive products to film clips- high dollar cameras, lighting, etc but reality is that is not very true and the thing is when you are just starting out more than likely you cannot afford to purchase that stuff. I started out with just a webcam, ring light, and editing in Windows Movie Maker. The best advice I can give is if you are on a budget, get a Logitech 920/922 webcam, ring light and Premiere Pro editing software. With the software you can adjust just about anything you need to fix which doesn’t require the use of a high dollar camera. Another bad recommendation would be pricing on clips. This is YOUR content not anybody else’s, you put the price at whatever you find your clips worthy of.
What advice would you give to a new artist starting out in the industry?
BS: My biggest and best advice is to never give up. When I first started I would work hard and see myself getting no results for it. It was hard to not just walk away from it but here I am almost a year later and it has paid off. You have to have lots of patience and the will to not give up, Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is your clientele.
Is there anything else you would like to share with your fans?
BS: I am so thankful for each and every one of you, I know as a domme it may seem as if we don’t care about YOU but it’s so the opposite. Each and every one of you make my days so much better!
