Welcome to The Artist Zone! This is a feature where we ask IWC Artists various questions to quell your curious mind. Every Artist, whether a fetish model, pornstar, cam model, or independent content producer, has a unique view to share with their fans and fellow Artists. This week, we’d like to introduce you to Arwen Datnoid. Join us on a journey to get to know this made in Canada cosplay cutie as we dive into advice for newcomers, the ways fetish inspires and Arwen’s personal process for prepping to create clips. Let’s get into it!
AD: I think one of the toughest things about entering the industry is seeing so many different people doing their own thing and then trying to copy them, people will tell you to do what makes you feel comfortable and they’ll tell you that you just have to be yourself but you don’t know how to do it and market it at the same time, it isn’t an easy thing to do for sure. But it is all true, we all figured out how to do our own thing and make it work, those who are the most successful are always those who do what they love. The clients can tell when you enjoy yourself, trust me. I find one of the best things you can do when starting out is to try a bunch of different things, there are so many ways to go about videos, limitless kinks, limitless ways to do each kind of kink and the unique aspect you could bring to it could make some clients fall head over heels for you because no one can deliver it the way you do. Equipment isn’t a massive deal when you start out, you can even just record with your phone and use editing apps to add a watermark. Find something that makes you happy and then record it multiple times, see what you like best and watch your work to see where you can improve.
I find that fetish is some of the most interesting work you can do in the industry, there are SO many kinks out there it’s crazy! I have my own kinks and turn ons and they all make me feel a certain way, imagining doing something as simple as oiling up my feet or telling someone to beat up their own balls and knowing they’re getting their own pleasure out of it is really nice. Sometimes people have kinks they are not comfortable telling others or explaining to their partners so it’s nice to be able to help people have an outlet so they can feel just as good as I do when I am doing my business.
I often find myself writing out video ideas whenever I think of them so that when it comes time to film I pick out 5 or 10 of them depending on my mood and then I put on my makeup and find a few cute outfits and rotate around through the content so I can keep a fresh look so it doesn’t look quite like it was all filmed in a few hours (lol). I learned to speak on camera through fetish, I use to not speak at all in videos but fetish gave me the courage to do it. From JOI to talking someone through sounding it has really expanded my repertoire. I think the best way to go about it is to just turn on the camera and just speak, I let my mood choose my words, 99% of my videos I make up on the spot. Sometimes it’s obvious, other times I really feel the flow and it comes out just right.
