Welcome to this week’s Artist Spotlight, bringing the community together by delving into our Artists’ most inspiring ideas and practices, as well as a few of their favorite things. This week we welcome IWC Clip Producer Hypnotic Natalie; a licensed hypnotist who loves mixing her knowledge of hypnosis and psychology with her seduction skills, to weaken you to the point of full submission. She absolutely loves being in control of men’s minds- accessing all of their secret desires, all of their feelings and thoughts, to steal their soul away and drain them of all the money they have in their savings account. On today’s Artist Spotlight, we’re going to get a little more personal with Goddess Natalie, to get to know what really makes her the Domme she is today. Read and take notes, little ones!
What are some of your favorite aspects of being an Artist?
HN: I got into the adult industry via the cam modeling route and while I enjoyed entertaining a bunch of people live and absolutely adored the attention I was getting, I like being a clip artist more. I love the freedom it gives me – the fact that I can organize my schedule in such a way so I have more time for myself, that I can shoot and edit my videos in advance, then schedule them, so I wouldn’t stop posting while I’m traveling or doing something else with my life. I also love the freedom of expression it gives me – I like being in a 1-on-1 session with someone I truly connect with, but one thing I really don’t like is being interrupted in the middle of a show I enjoy doing because the member ran out of credits of his connection dropped out or mine did. With clips, I can shoot smoothly from the beginning till the end, express all of my feelings and let out all of the creative sauce I have inside of me without any interruptions. And I also get to do it all my own way, without anyone telling me what to do 😊 don’t get me wrong, most of my members have always been very well-behaved, but there’s always those ones….lol 😊
I also absolutely adore the rush that I get out of being in control of someone else. Of their mind, their body, their whole being. I love it when a guy trusts me enough to give up on all control and allow me to take over. That feeling compares to pretty much nothing else, and I absolutely love the psychology that lies behind what makes one submissive and also behind each and every individual fetish. As I’ve always been passionate about psychology, for me it’s simply mesmerizing to learn more about what makes a person tick and what started their fetish. So I guess that’s what attracted me towards the fetish niche of clip making, and I absolutely love it.
How would you describe your style as a clip producer and Artist?
HN: My style tends to variate between very simple clips filmed in one go, without much editing to super highly-edited clips that I put a lot of work into making. I guess it’s all based on my mood at the moment I shoot the clip, plus the fact that I have many different personalities (no, not in that way :P) and they all express themselves differently, hence the need for different styles. What I do like making the most is clips where I work a lot on the audio, creating a soft, mesmerizing audio and a whispering one in the background, then add lots of effects to the video itself after editing, just to mindfuck my viewers even more. I love filming with a green screen and chroma key is my new addiction!
In terms of my style as a domme, though, I would say that I mostly fit the nurturing domme or mommy-domme box, although it is hard to put me into a box. I have a little bit of everything, from the sensuality of the woman who loves to tease and seduce with her body and voice to the woman who loves to guide the steps of man towards getting to know himself better and improving both as a man and as a sub. I sometimes switch to the bratty bitch mode, but most of the time, my style revolves around this caring, nurturing persona. Hypnosis being my main niche, I tend to be more the kind of domme that likes to relax you, to calm your mind and help you disconnect from reality, just to take you onto trips like you’ve never experienced before, somewhere far away from this world, somewhere deep inside of your own mind.
What is the most memorable or noteworthy moment of being an Artist?
HN: One of the moments I enjoyed the most as an artist was my first long message from a sub, thanking me for how I made him feel and detailing all the feelings he experienced thanks to my mesmerizing clips. A very memorable moment for me was also when I felt that I’ve built such a deep, strong connection with my sub that he opened up to me about more than just his fetishes and sexuality, but also trusted me to talk about his real life. Since I also practice hypnosis for therapeutic purposes, he asked me to do positive hypnosis on him in order to help him improve his life overall and get over a couple of difficulties, and for me that was simply special.
What are your favorite categories (fetish, JOI, roleplay, humiliation, etc) to perform in and why?
HN: As many already know and most would’ve guessed by now, my favorite category is hypnosis. Apart from that, I enjoy coerced intoxication fantasy and coerced bi, as well as cuckolding, pretty much anything that is at least slightly taboo and different, but also a bit of tease and denial, orgasm control, chastity play 😊 It’s hard to only pick a few, but I am generally more attracted by the kind of fetishes that allow me to play with the mind more than the body of my sub.
Please describe your ideal sub and what this person could do to impress you.
HN: My ideal sub is definitely not the same person with the ideal sub for a different domme, as we are all different, both domes and subs. What I do appreciate in a sub is him doing his homework and looking up all the information I put out there – Twitter bio, links I post, blog posts I write and so on, to understand important things about me and avoid having to ask the basics. One thing I definitely hate to see is a sub who doesn’t put in the effort. Plus, it’s always nice to be surprised by someone who knows what flowers you like or what you believe in and what your favorite color is. On top of that, I appreciate a sub who opens up to me and tells me a little about his fetishes and what got them started, instead of expecting me to guess. I also appreciate subs that I can connect with on a deeper level and have the necessary chemistry with to build a long-term relationship. Last, but not least, subs who are open to exploring new fetishes rather than sticking to what they already know for sure they like are always fun, cause I like to explore and try new things out every now and again.
Would you consider your work as an Artist to be your lifestyle, or do you enjoy a balance/separation between being a Domme and your personal life?
HN: Well, it’s definitely difficult to draw a line between the two when you really love your work. I often find myself doing regular things and thinking, “Oh, I should record this and turn it into a clip”, and it’s very hard for me not to find ideas everywhere, in all the things that surround me. I always feel inspired and end up mixing my personal life with my work quite a bit.
I also consider myself to be naturally quite bossy and a little bratty. I guess the fact that I’m a single child and have been spoiled quite a lot by both my parents and all of the boyfriends I’ve had, played an important part in turning me into who I am nowadays. And I think that the way I am as a person is definitely mirrored by my domme persona. However, as bratty as I can be, I do like to draw a line between who I am online or offline with a sub and who I am around my friends.
In real life, I like to travel, to backpack and explore the world without always expecting luxury and maximum comfort. I like to go camping and go on unexpected adventures! I like to spend time with friends and family, to share ideas and to learn, to talk openly and to listen to others. So, I’m not always this fancy woman who gives orders to men and bathes in money lol and I honestly think I’d be bored if I spent all of my life this way.
Please describe what being in the moment as a Domme feels like to you… Is it a rush? Exciting? Expected? Anything in between?
HN: It is most certainly a rush for me. No matter how many years have passed and how many times I’ve dominated a man before, every single time it’s as spectacular as the last. You never know how far this particular sub will go for you or what a hypnosis session will eventually lead to, so it’s always surprising. And I simply feel like I am on top of the world and no one nor anything can hurt me. I feel more powerful than ever, and I absolutely love the taste of that power!
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
HN: I’m gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I am the kind of person who loves Christmas carols and starts listening to them very early, then keeps listening long after Xmas is gone. And I actually listen to carols for therapeutic purposes too, every time I am sad or stressed, disappointed, anxious or simply feel down…they just make me feel better. So pretty much any carol out there for the rest of my life would work just fine for me.
If you could have starred in any movie, what would it be and why?
HN: I would’ve really liked to play the main character in Maleficent – Mistress of Evil. There is something about her character that is simultaneously sweet and bitter, soft and light, but also dark and intense. She is protective and caring, but also evil and cunning. I love that combination that shows both the fragile, vulnerable side of a woman and her strong, unbreakable one. I think this is in many ways how I am – I can be sweet and caring, but I also have a very intense dark side that likes to come out and play often. And I like both of those sides. I’m not afraid to open up and show my vulnerability and can do it without losing my strength. So this is probably the best character I could’ve ever played, that would’ve truly matched who I am and how I am, but would’ve allowed me to express all of that in a much more artistic way than I can in my day-to-day life, even though I do get pretty creative with my clips 😊
If you could go to dinner with any celebrity, living or dead, who would you choose?
HN: Oh Gosh, I dunno if I could really make the most of a dinner with any celebrity, cause I’m actually quite shy and awkward in real life, and I’m scared I wouldn’t know what to talk about, although there would be so many things I’d like to ask. But…from the top of my mind, I’d actually like a dinner with Goddess Jessica (as in Divine Goddess Jessica), cause I just think she’s so absolutely fabulous and I’d have so many question to ask, so much to learn from her.
What’s the one food you can’t live without?
HN: I lived for about 2 years in South Korea, which got me quite obsessed with seafood and especially the raw kind. I always liked sushi before, but now, thanks to the Korean cuisine, I’ve become a lot more obsessed with sashimi. I know it’s more Japanese than Korean, but the Koreans do it too and in a slightly different way, which I actually like even more than the Japanese way for some reason. So yeah, I couldn’t live without sashimi!
Do you have any current obsessions?
HN: Well, since I discovered the adult industry, about 5 years and a bit ago, this has been and still is my obsession. I am obsessed with absolutely everything that happens in the business, especially in the camming world, because I have been a part of it for the first 4 years of my journey through the adult industry. Lately, though, I started to be a lot more obsessed about the fetish clips side of it, and I can’t stop trying new ways of filming, new ways of recording my audios, new stuff with my video editing software that I am also obsessed with lol. I love reading posts on forums about the industry, I like to watch Youtube videos about it, to analyze the work of other models and artists, to read books about it, to attend summits and other events related to the industry. You could pretty much sum it up saying that I’m obsessed with my work.
What is your favorite book?
HN: I absolutely adored Hooked, by Clare Gee – it is a book that I randomly picked up at London’s Heathrow airport years ago, without expecting much from it. I then ended up loving the story and the person who wrote it, the way she wrote it…everything!
If you were to win the Power Ball tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d do with your money?
HN: I have already started investing a bit in different things, including real estate, and actually, one of my dreams is to have a couple of nice little log cabins in the mountains of Romania that I’d rent out to tourists. I did Airbnb since I got my first apartment, about 8 years ago now and actually love the tourism side of it. So I would definitely like to build those cabins in the woods and maybe even a little spooky hotel with a gothic look to it, close to Dracula’s castle. I love all spooky, horror stuff, and for me it would be a dream come true to run a place like that.
What is something about you that would surprise your audience?
HN: I was a total nerd back in school and used to have straight A’s all the time. Oh, and I’m also not as confident as I seem all the time; I’m actually pretty insecure in real life.
What was the last job you held before joining iWantEmpire?
HN: The last one before becoming a fetish clip artist on here was a cam model, but before entering the adult business altogether, I was working in online marketing and absolutely loved it. I basically still am, since I take care of all the social media and online marketing strategies for promoting myself nowadays 😛
How did you get started on iWantClips?
HN: I had been camming for about 4 years and was going through a moment in my life where I wasn’t really sure I wanted to keep being an online model. I was a bit bored and unhappy with it in the last few months; camming kinda stopped bringing the happiness it used to bring to my life at the very beginning, when I first discovered it, so I felt the need for a change. I decided to take some time off to think things through, relax and allow myself to decide what the right next step for me was. Since I always wanted to make clips and tried to do it simultaneously with camming but failed, because it’s actually very difficult to do both at the same time, I figured.. ”Hey, now I finally have time on my hands, and I have money, too, so no need to rush into anything. How about I give the clip industry a try, cause I always wanted to do this, after all? Maybe now it’s my chance!” So I started slowly, without expecting much from it, mostly to satisfy my curiosity and my desire to express myself through clips, and now it’s been 9 months since I am a clip artist, and I can say it surprised me a lot and brought me exactly the challenge and change I needed in my life. That’s not to say I won’t do cam sessions anymore, because I still do. And that’s also not to say I won’t, in the future, maybe spend more time on cam, if I feel that’s the right thing to do. 😊
What are bad recommendations you hear given to people just starting out in the industry?
HN: You only need about 2 hours a day to make your clips and can dedicate the rest of your time to something else. I tried it out and you don’t need more time than that to make it work.
What advice would you give to a new artist starting out in the industry?
HN: This is, first of all, the same as anything in the adult industry, something that you should do because you enjoy it, because you find happiness in this kind of work and not because you heard a bunch of girls got rich from doing it. I think that pretty much all the girls who became successful had a real passion for it to begin with. Secondly, you should invest a lot of time and energy to make it work and not expect to have results overnight. It is a full-time job and although you could maybe mix it together with some camming, it does require more than just 2 hours a day. It also requires patience and the right attitude – treating this like a business is the only thing that will bring success. But not tomorrow or in a week…maybe in a few months of hard, consistent work, maybe in a year or a couple of years! So if you get into this, be sure that you’re in this to stay, that you see yourself still doing it in the next couple of years, and be sure that you’re not a quitter!
