Welcome to the latest installment of Tuesday 10, where we learn a bit about a few of our Artist’s favorite things. This week we dive in with LiliMissArab to talk Gatsby, Lebowski and desert island necessities. But first… let’s get started with the origin story…
A Note From LMA: Every once in a while I get asked about my stage name which is rather unusual, but there is reasoning behind it. I came up with Missarab, because I´m a genuine Arab girl born and raised in Lebanon, but at the time I thought Missarab sounded too much like a beauty pageant competition. Since I’m an avid gamer and pretty much unbeatable when playing Tekken with the character Lili and I always liked that name, I decided to combine those two, hence Lilimissarab was born.
Favorite book:
LMA: The Great Gatsby.
Movie you can quote all the lines to:
LMA: The Big Lebowski–it’s a brilliant movie and there are so many great lines.
Favorite holiday:
LMA: My favorite holiday is to rent a cabin in the woods where I spend the days skiing and evenings next to a fireplace, binge watching my favorite TV shows, and stuff myself with snacks and drinks.
If you had a theme song that played every time you walked into a room, what would it be?
LMA: “Everybody Dance Now” by C+C Music Factory.
Favorite quote/song lyric/line from a movie?
LMA: For song lyrics it’s The Lonely Island – “Jack Sparrow”. “This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow”, and for movie lines it’s The Big Lebowski “Is this your homework Larry?”
Song you change every time it comes on:
LMA: “The Cheeky Song” by The Cheeky Girls. It’s an old song, but I still can’t listen to it.
Favorite bad joke:
LMA: This is a Dutch one so in Dutch it’s “Question Vertel eens een mop. Reponse Twee tieten in een envelop”. So basically someone says “tell me a joke” and you respond with “two tits in an envelope”. It’s very silly, but it rhymes in Dutch and it has the word tits, and I love tits.
Favorite word vs least favorite word:
LMA: Favorite word is “awesome”. My least favorite word “ma’am”, because it sounds just awful and I always expect it will be followed with “you’re making a scene”.
Song that gets you pumped up:
LMA: “I’m the Supervisor” by Infected Mushroom. I always listen to that when I’m working.
You’re stranded on a desert island, what are the ideal three items you have with you to make it an enjoyable experience?
LMA: I would need to have a tent for shelter, a lighter for making fires, and an axe to cut down bushes and trees for wood. At night, I would use the wood to make a fire in front of my tent to stay nice and warm. Plus, I can use the handle of the axe as a dildo to substitute the lack of cock on the island.
